Tess Waresmith ('08) earned Most Valuable Player honors for the 2008-09 Boston University women's diving team after another impressive season with the Terriers. She capped off an accolade-filled career with conference titles on both the one- and three-meter boards.
At the America East Swimming and Diving Championships, Waresmith was named the Most Outstanding Female Diver of the Meet and set a conference record on the one-meter. She went on to compete at the Zone A Diving Championship in Buffalo, N.Y., in 2009 and placed second on the 3M and third on the 1M. Throughout the 2008-09 season, Waresmith earned seven America East Diver of the Week honors.
Waresmith graduates from BU with her name on every possible diving school record. In 2007-08, Waresmith was the first diver in 26 years to qualify for the NCAA Championships, where she went on to place 24th on the 2M and 34th on the 1M.
