
Terriers Sweep Stony Brook, Fordham

The Boston University men's swimming and diving team defeated Stony Brook on Friday night, 141-90, and Fordham, 186.5-107.5 on Saturday.
Kyle Ernst was the Terriers' big winner over the weekend with four wins, including three at Fordham. First, on Friday at Stony Brook, he won the 500 free in 4:46.33 before winning the 100 breast (58.48), 200 breast (2:06.32) and 200 IM (1:57.50) on Saturday.
Jeff Thomas also won a slew of events over the weekend with three victories against Fordham - 1,000 free (9:50.25), 200 fly (1:55.49), and 500 free (4:47.53). Diver Jake Frankenfield also had a good weekend, winning three events, including a sweep on Friday at Stony Brook. He won the 1M (227.83) and the 3M (213.52), before winning the 3M (261.00) at Fordham.
Also winning multiple events were: Nik Astashinsky (Fri: 200 IM 1:59.38; Sat: 200 back 1:53.82), Bryon Kallert (Fri: 200 fly 1:58.62; Sat: 100 back 52.48), and Daniel Kempf (Sat: 50 free 21.80; Sat: 100 free 47.81).
BU returns to Competition Pool this upcoming weekend when it hosts its annual Terrier Invitational from Nov. 19-21.
