Junior Eric Ashe was named the most valuable player for the 2009 Boston University men's cross country team after being the top finisher in all of the top races during the season.

Taking home the America East Pre-Championship title in the first race, Ashe would go on to place fourth at the New England Championships and later ninth at the America East Championships.

He ended the season at the NCAA Regionals, where he placed 30th overall.
