
Terriers Sweep America East Swimming & Diving Awards

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Boston University men's swimming & diving team swept the America East weekly awards, as freshman Bryan Bonack earned Swimmer of the Week honors and sophomore Jared Scheck was named Diver of the Week, the conference office announced on Tuesday.
Bonack (Colorado Springs, Colo.) won the 200 breaststroke in 2:11.82 by two seconds over Maine's top swimmer and six seconds over the closest Stony Brook swimmer. He also posted the best time in the 200 IM, clocking in at 1:56.44, well ahead of his next closest competitor.
Scheck (Pittsburgh, Pa.) easily won the 1-meter dive with a score of 233.70, finishing ahead of the second-place diver by more than 20 points. He also took second in the 3-meter, losing by just three points.
The men's swimming & diving team will be back at the Competition Pool on Saturday, as the Terriers host Texas A&M and Fordham at 1:30 p.m.
