
Men's Swimming & Diving Sweeps Weekly America East Awards

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - After dominating Boston College in its final dual meet of the season, the Boston University men’s swimming and diving team swept the weekly America East Swimming and Diving awards, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon.
Sophomore Connor Stuewe was named Swimmer of the Week while junior Jared Scheck collected Diver of the Week honors. Both helped lead the Terriers to a 223-77 victory over their crosstown rivals.
Stuewe posted two individual victories and was a member of a winning relay team against the Eagles. The sophomore claimed first-place in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:43.21 while also recording a win in the 200 backstroke in 1:50.59.
The Monterey, Calif., native also teamed up with Mario Caballero, Ryan Bach and Andy Vazquez to win the 200 medley relay in 1:33.84.
Scheck led the Terriers in the diving events against Boston College, as the junior won the 1-meter board with a score of 289.27 points. The Pittsburgh, Pa., native was then the top finisher for BU from the 3-meter board, as he recorded a score of 238.72 points to place third.
The Terriers will spend the next month training for the ECAC Championships which will be held March 1-3 in Cambridge, Mass.
