
BU Swim Picked to Finish Second In PL

The men's team edged Army by one vote (137) to claim the second-place spot on the preseason ballot, which is voted on by Patriot League coaches and a representative from each member school. The women's team received two of 20 possible first place votes and finished in second place with 141 total votes.
Last year both of the BU squads finished in third place overall at the Patriot League Championships. The men's team finished with 609 points behind Navy (945.5) and Army (640.5) while the women accumulated 533.5 points behind Navy (778) and Bucknell (580).
Stephanie Nasson was honored as the Women's Swimmer of the Meet after posting a pair of first-place finishes in the 1650 and 500 meter freestyles and a second-place showing in the 200 meter freestyle. Nasson highlighted her wins by setting a Patriot League, meet and school record in the 1650 freestyle with a time of 16:24.05.
Connor Stuewe highlighted the men's performances, breaking his own school record and setting a new Patriot League and meet record in the 200 backstroke with a time of 1:43.40 en route to a first place finish.
The Terriers begin their season on Saturday, Oct. 11 at home against Lehigh. The meet will begin at 1:30 p.m. in the Competition Pool located in the Boston University Fitness and Recreation Center.
