
BU Victorious at Terrier Invitational

BOSTON - The Boston University men's swimming & diving team was victorious at the Terrier Invitational this past weekend at the BU Competition Pool.
The Terriers claimed first at the three-day event with a score of 1088.5 points, which was 91 points clear of second-place Massachusetts (997.5). Boston College (883), Army (649) and Fairfield (147) rounded out the five-team field.
BU earned six first-place finishes over the weekend, including three relay wins. The Terriers were first in the 400 yard medley, 400 yard freestyle and 800 yard freestyle.
The Terriers took three of the top four spots in the 200 yard IM, with Quinn Smith securing first thanks to a time of 1:50.27. Mun Hon Lee (1:50.71) and Garrett Chin (1:51.94) were second and fourth, respectively. Chin also won the 400 yard IM with a time of 3:55.27 while Lee was victorious in the 100 yard butterfly (49.35).
Senior Connor Stuewe was part of two relay victors and also claimed the 200 yard backstroke race with a time of 1:45.38. Stuewe also took second in the 100 yard backstroke (49.34).
Other winners included Daniel Andronov, who was first in the 100 yard breaststroke (56.33) as well as the 200 yard breaststroke (2:01.39). Mario Caballero (56.87) and Andrew Guinther (57.04) were third and fourth, respectively, in the 100 yard breaststroke.
