BOSTON - The Boston University wrestling team (4-9, 2-8 EIWA) will close out the 2013-14 dual season on Saturday with a home match against Sacred Heart. The match, starts at 5 p.m., will be broadcast live on the Patriot League Network.
The Terriers got back in the win column last weekend with a 23-18 victory at Brown and will be looking to earn their fifth dual win of the season.
BU is 12-2 all-time against Sacred Heart and rolled to a 53-0 shutout versus the Pioneers last season.
The Pioneers are 3-11 in this season with the victories coming against Davidson, Millersville and American International. Sacred Heart's projected lineup consists of only seniors and freshmen.
Prior to Saturday's match, the Terriers will honor their 11-member senior class with six of them expected to compete.
Senior Nestor Taffur is ranked as high as fourth in the nation at 157 and his 30 wins tie him with Cornell's Gabe Dean for the most in the EIWA. He brings an 11-match win streak into Saturday's dual.
Taffur was ranked sixth in the first NCAA RPI rankings of the season. Junior Tyler Scotton (141) and sophomore Dane Harlowe (133) appeared at 31st and 32nd in their respective weight classes.
The Terriers will take two weeks off before competing in their first-ever EIWA Championships on March 8-9 at Penn.
