Terriers Sit In Fourth After Day One Of PL Championships

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The men's and women's swimming and diving team finished competition of day one of the Patriot League Championships on Wednesday night at Bucknell's Kinney Natatorium. Both teams are currently in fourth place after three scored events.
Men's diving kicked off competition with the 3 meter preliminary and final rounds. Three Terriers participated in the event and Adam Gross led the pack with a fourth-place overall finish and a score of 270.95. Eric Mitchell also made it to the final round and placed 10th overall with a score of 247.75.
Relay events rounded out Wednesday competition with both the men and the women racing in the 200 yard medley relay and 800 yard freestyle relay.
In the men's competition, the Terriers placed second in the 800 freestyle relay and third in the 200 medley relay while the women took third in the 800 free and fifth in the 200 medley.
BU is back in action tomorrow, starting with the 500 freestyle preliminary rounds at 10:30 a.m.
