BOSTON – Following a week off to focus on finals, the Boston University men's basketball team will resume non-conference action by hosting New Hampshire on Sunday with tip-off slated for 1 p.m. The matchup will feature two teams that reached the second round of the CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament with the Terriers posting a win at Fordham and the Wildcats earning a win at Fairfield.

TERRIER TIDBITS

  • BU is 4-1 at home this season with wins over Northeastern (65-63), Maine (102-78), LIU Brooklyn (86-69) and Western New England (91-54) with a loss to Canisius (87-77).
  • The Terriers went a perfect 4-0 last year against the America East with wins over UNH (78-74), Albany (69-64), Binghamton (75-65) and UMass Lowell (80-60).
  • Senior Eric Fanning (13.7 ppg) and junior Cedric Hankerson (12.0 ppg) were the only two Terriers to reach double figures last Saturday at Syracuse and are currently the only two averaging double figures with junior Cheddi Mosely close behind at 9.6 ppg.
  • Hankerson joined Fanning in reaching the 30-point milestone when he drained a school-record 10 3-pointers against the Orange en route to 34 points after Fanning tallied a personal-best 37 points against Loyola Maryland last season ... The 34 points this season are the most by a Patriot League player this year.
  • BU is out-rebounding opponents with a positive margin of 3.0 with three Terriers averaging at least five rebounds per game – junior Nick Havener (5.7 rpg), Fanning (5.4 rpg) and senior Justin Alston (5.0 rpg).
  • Sophomore Kyle Foreman ranks fourth in the Patriot League in assists at 4.6 apg but has increased that to 6.2 apg over the last six games.
SCOUTING NEW HAMPSHIRE
  • The Wildcats are currently 7-3 after going 20-13 last season with a pair of victories over Patriot League members American (A, 80-70) and Holy Cross (H, 56-53).
  • UNH is 4-2 on the road with 57-52 win over Temple, 65-60 victory at Winthrop and 86-73 win at Bryant ... The two losses came against major conference opponents, West Virginia (100-41) and Providence (76-62).
  • The Wildcats are averaging 67.5 ppg and shooting 42.2 percent from the field while holding opponents to 67.9 ppg and 43.1 FG%.
  • Jaleen Smith leads UNH in scoring at 16.8 ppg and assists at 4.4 apg while averaging 7.6 rpg, and No. 2 scorer Tanner Leissner (14.6 ppg) leads the Wildcats in rebounding (7.6 rpg).
  • Daniel Dion is averaging 13.2 ppg, and Iba Camara averages 7.9 rpg with 7.3 ppg.
SERIES HISTORY
  • The Terriers are 97-39 all-time against UNH in a series that dates back to 1908-09 and are 4-2 under head coach Joe Jones.
  • In last year's 78-74 home win, BU extended a 39-36 halftime lead to as high as 13 (62-49) at 9:26 before the Wildcats rallied to cut the deficit to two (74-72) with a minute remaining and missed a game-tying 3-pointer in the final seconds.
  • BU shot 55 percent and held UNH to 39 percent, but the Wildcats outscored the Terriers in points off turnovers, 15-6, to keep the game close.
