BU Takes 218.5-78.5 Setback at Army

WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Boston University men's swimming & diving team closed out the regular season by taking a 218.5-78.5 defeat against Army on Saturday afternoon at Crandall Pool.
Tommy Hagerty and Sarsen Whatmore accounted for BU's individual wins on the day, as Hagerty took the 1000 free (9:26.36) and Whatmore won the 500 free (4:34.98). Whatmore also tied for second in the 200 free (1:40.46), Jack Carignan touched the wall second in the 100 back (52.41), and Stuart Vickery (1:52.93) nabbed a second-place finish in the 200 back.
Select members of the Terriers will compete at the Boston Winter Open, which will take place Feb. 7-8 at Competition Pool.
