ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Taking Lejeune Hall for the final day of the Patriot League Championships,
Tommy Hagerty broke a pair of school records to highlight the conclusion of the four-day meet for the Boston University men's swimming & diving team.
Hagerty broke the 1650 free school record, clocking in at 15:18.68 to beat the previous record by nearly 20 seconds, and finish in third place. Additionally, Hagerty's 1000 free split (9:14.71) broke his own school record set last season.
Sarsen Whatmore also posted a record-breaking time (15:34.14) and finished right behind Hagerty.
As a team, the Terriers finished in fifth place with 317.5 points. Navy earned its 17th consecutive Patriot League Championship title with 1,095.5 points, and Army followed with 721.
Andrew White finished ninth in the 200 back (1:48.14), while
Kyle Falkstrom took sixth in the 100 breast (1:59.72).
Stuart Vickery (1:49.27),
Erik Ryan (1:49.57) and
Benjamin Brewer (1:49.68) took the fifth through seven spots in the 200 fly.
