BOSTON - The Boston University men's swimming & diving team placed third of five teams at the Terrier Invitational as the final day of competition featured a second win by freshman Tony Ponomarev at FitRec Competition Pool.

After tying for first in Friday's 100-yard backstroke, Ponomarev capped an impressive weekend by posting a personal-best 1:46.19 in the 200 back. Junior Jackson Olin was close behind in fourth with a time of 1:49.21 while classmate Adrien Pierce clocked a 1:53.75 to finish ninth.

The 400-yard freestyle relay of Olin, senior Ethan Thomas, senior Jacob Lindner and junior Justin Lee placed second in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:01.62.

Junior Kyle Falkstrom earned a fifth-place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:02.71

In the 100-yard freestyle, Thomas and Lee tied for ninth after both clocking a 46.10.

Sophomore Dolan Grisbaum got things going in the final session with a fifth-place finish in the 1,650-yard freestyle, posting a mark of 15:49.86.

The Terriers will return to action on Saturday, Dec. 3, when they host Holy Cross for a Patriot League dual at 1:30 p.m.
