Terriers Together Campaign Another Major Success
October 30, 2024 | General
BOSTON – Boston University Athletics launched its annual fundraising efforts with success earlier this month as the Terriers Together campaign raised more than $361,000 during the three-day initiative.
The BU community rallied to support the future for Terrier teams on Oct. 15-17 with a 10-percent increase from last year's Terriers Together dollar total by way of over 1,100 gifts.
This year, each head coach identified specific fundraising priorities that positively impact their most pressing needs. Dollars raised will be used to enhance equipment, nutrition, recruitment efforts, and out-of-region travel needs for varsity teams.
Thanks to the generosity of Carrie and Tim Burr (MET'97), two challenges were issued during the campaign, which helped Athletics secure 1,000 or more contributions for the fifth consecutive Terriers Together campaign.
Athletics young alumni (classes of 2015-24) played a critical role in those efforts, as 163 graduates from the last 10 years participated in this year's initiative. This marks a 50-percent increase from last year.
BU Athletics would like to thank all who participated to help make this another successful campaign.
