Falkstrom Collects Gold, Silver on Final Day of FISU America Games

CALI, Colombia - Kyle Falkstrom' 23 added two more medals to his FISU America Games haul on Thursday during the final day of competition at the Hernando Botero O'Bryne Swimming Pool.

Falkstrom opened the day on Thursday by winning gold in the 400-meter mixed medley relay as the breaststroke leg, and then placed second in the 200-meter breaststroke in a time of 2:21.56

The mixed relay posted a time of 3:57.44, which was more than eight seconds faster than the second-place Brazil team.

Falkstrom also earned a sixth-place finish in the 200-meter individual medley with a time of 2:15.45 while junior Tony Ponomarev wrapped up competition with a fifth-place effort in the 50-meter back, posting a time of 27.70.

In all, the Terrier duo combined for nine medals at the three-day competition with two gold, three silvers, and four bronzes.
