BU Athletics Announces Three Senior Staff Promotions

BOSTON - Boston University director of athletics Drew Marrochello has announced three promotions within the department as Jill Cardella (capital planning & facilities management) and Kristin Weisse (student-athlete supports services) have been elevated to associate athletic directors for their respective units and Leo Pare has joined the senior staff as an assistant athletic director for community engagement & video production.
Cardella has served as the assistant athletic director for capital planning and facilities management for the past three years and has worked in the department since graduating in 2013 and serving as a co-captain for the women's ice hockey program. Weisse joined the department two years ago as the assistant athletic director for student-athlete support services.
A 19-year veteran in the department, Pare has most recently served as the executive director of community engagement and video production, overseeing the department's marketing, broadcast and digital content efforts.
"These are three well-earned promotions," said Marrochello. "Jill and Kristen have excelled in their roles and are integral to our operations while Leo has been dedicated to elevating our external efforts for nearly two decades."
