BU Giving Day is Underway!

BOSTON – Boston University's Giving Day 2025 is officially underway! The 24-hour online fundraising initiative kicks off on Wednesday, April 9.
The Giving Day campaign has turned into BU Athletics' signature annual fundraising campaign each year and an initiative that has raised more than $10 million to support Terrier student-athletes, coaches and programs. Contributions made as part of Giving Day directly enhance the experience of BU student-athletes and allow head coaches and staff to invest resources into areas of their programs that most impact competitive success.
On Giving Day 2024, Terrier Nation came together with impressive participation from alumni-athletes, parents, and friends of each team to surpass $1 million raised for the seventh consecutive campaign.
Thousands of dollars are up for grabs for each varsity program again this year through the following challenges:
Giving Day 2024 – The Challenges
Athletics Young Alumni Participation Challenge (Classes 2015-24): If a team reaches their identified young alumni participation goal as part of Giving Day, they will unlock an additional bonus.
Team Revenue Head-to-Head Challenge: Each varsity program will go head-to-head with another team, with the team that raises the most in each matchup earning a bonus.
Beat Your Best: Each team that surpasses their Giving Day total dollars raised record will receive a bonus.
Individual Varsity Team Challenges: Donor opportunities to sponsor dollar-for-dollar individual varsity team challenges, beginning at $5,000+, to encourage leadership-level support from alumni, parents, and friends. Several teams are in need of a matching challenge yet. If you are interested in helping, please reach out to cgildea@bu.edu.
