Turnpike Trophy Competition to Return for 10th Season

BOSTON - Boston University and Holy Cross will once again compete for the Turnpike Trophy, as the 10th edition of the multi-sport series will begin on Friday, Sept. 26, when the schools' two field hockey programs face off in Worcester.
BU has retained the trophy in each of the previous nine iterations of the series, most recently earning a 15.5-4.5 victory across 20 events during the 2024-25 academic year. The competition began during the 2015-16 season, with BU earning a 20-4 victory over its in-state Patriot League rival.
The first-semester schedule includes two home soccer games against the Crusaders, the first of two women's hockey matchups as well as the season-opening dual for the men's and women's swimming & diving teams. In the second semester, Holy Cross will host a men's and women's basketball doubleheader against BU on Monday, Feb. 2, with the men hosting Holy Cross on Feb. 25 and the women welcoming the Crusaders to Case Gym on March 4. Dates for softball, men's and women's lacrosse and men's and women's tennis will be announced at a later time.
