BOSTON – The Boston University women's rowing program has added Anneta Kyridou as an assistant coach during the fall 2026 semester.
"We're thrilled to welcome Anneta to Boston University," said director of women's rowing Malcolm Doldron. "She brings an exceptional level of international racing experience and has competed at the very highest level of our sport, but what stood out to me throughout this process was the person and coach behind that résumé. Anneta is thoughtful, driven, and deeply invested in student-athlete development. She understands what high performance looks like and what it takes to pursue it every day.
"I believe she'll be a tremendous resource for our student-athletes and an important addition as we continue to raise the standard of BU Women's Rowing."
Kyridou arrives to Terrier Town following a season at Oregon State as an assistant coach for the men's rowing program. Under her guidance, the Beavers earned a berth to the IRA National Championship Regatta and sent all three crews to the D final as Oregon State placed 22nd overall.
A standout collegiate rower at Ohio State, Kyridou was a two-time All-Big Ten selection during her collegiate career. She was a first team All-American in 2022 and an honorable mention in 2023.
Kyridou originally hails from Kalamaria Thessaloniki, Greece, representing her country at the Olympic, world, European, Balkan and national level. She competed in the women's single sculls at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, placing 10th overall. She went on to earn recognition from the Hellenic Olympic Committee for rowing excellence from 2015-2020. Kyridou also served as an assistant coach at the Nautical Club of Giannitsa from 2023-24.
Kyridou earned her Bachelor's degree in exercise science from Ohio State in 2025.
