Updated Program Top-10 Lists: Women | Men
The 2025-26 Boston University swimming & diving season has come to close with both the men and women posting the biggest point improvements of any school at the 2026 Patriot League Championships.
The dual season was competitive throughout as both teams went 6-3, which included the women's first win over Boston College since the 2018-19 season.
The 19th annual Terrier Invitational was a highlight of the fall semester, as the men's team closed the gap on BC by 300 points from last year to finish second by only 140 points, and the women's team won the meet title for the first time since 2018.
One of the top highlights of the year was Alayna Kennedy being named the Patriot League Diver of the Year after becoming the first freshman to sweep the diving boards at the Patriot League Championships, and the first Terrier to do it at a conference meet since 2010.
The men had their first relay podium finish since 2019 with a bronze and school record in the 800 freestyle relay and junior Zein Mahana was the first men's diver to reach the PL podium in 10 years, taking bronze in the 3-meter. The women's 400 medley relay, comprised of four first-years, had the highest finish ever, taking silver.
In all, there were 12 podium finishes leading to eight All-Patriot League honors, the most since 2017. BU scored 187 more points on the women's side compared to the 2024-25 season and had an increase of 309.5 points on the men's side. The staff swept the women's coaching awards with both the swimming and diving Coaching Staffs of the Year.
Throughout the year there were 10 new school records, three new pool records and a combined 50 new program top-10 times (33 men's, 17 women's). Among those, 14 of the 17 women's times and 24 of the 33 men's times were recorded by first-years or sophomores. Two women's relay school records were entirely made up of first-years (200 free and 400 medley relay). Eleven of the new top-10 times were the second fastest in program history, and everyone who recorded one of those times is returning next year.
The team collected weekly Patriot League awards throughout the season with 18 total awards (3 Women's Swimmer; 5 Men's Diver; 2 Women's Diver; 2 Men's Rookie; 6 Women's Rookie). Only one of those awards went to a senior.
Below are all the new school and pool records from this season, along with the five divers who qualified for NCAA Zones.
