Koszyk Joins Men's Rowing Staff as Assistant Coach

BOSTON - Sorin Koszyk, a 2024 Olympian, has joined the Boston University men's rowing staff as an assistant coach, head coach Thomas Bohrer announced on Wednesday.
Koszyk competed for the United States at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, finishing fourth in men's double sculls after qualifying for the Olympics with a first-place performance at the 2024 World Rowing Final Olympic & Paralympic Qualification Regatta.
"We're thrilled to welcome Sorin to our program," Bohrer said. "He brings a wealth of experience at both the international and collegiate level to BU and will be a great resource for our student-athletes."
A native of Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan, Koszyk graduated from Cornell in 2020 with a degree in development sociology. Whole at Cornell, he was a part of the lightweight varsity eight boat that claimed an IRA national title in both 2017 and 2019, earning IRA Lightweight Crew of the Year honors in both seasons. He also helped the Big Red win the 2017 Ivy League title, earning First Team All-Ivy accolades in the process.Â
