Lou Lovely
Sport: Football
Year Graduated: 1957
Year Inducted: 1977

Lou is the first member of what was described in the 1955 HUB as the "best line in the school's history" to make it into Boston University's Hall of Fame.

A three-year standout for the Terriers as a middle guard, Lovely "formed the backbone of one of the most fearsome attacking units in New England football" in 1954 when Boston University posted a 7-2 record and was just two points away from an undefeated season.
Lou was named to the All-East team for his efforts and also received All-America recognition. He was signed by the Philadelphia Eagles of the NFL, however, a chronic pinched nerve in his neck and a serious knee injury sustained in training camp cut short his professional career.
