Congratulations, Terriers! I live in the DC area and got three Frozen Four tickets last summer. My parents are both BU alumni from the 60s, so it was a perfect storm that you were the top seed and made the Frozen Four. My Dad and brother came down from Connecticut to take my other two tickets. To deliver 3rd period comebacks in both games, the final being truly unreal, and then cap it off with the overtime winner made this once-in-a-lifetime experience for my family the most special it could have possibly been. And I'm sure our story isn't unique. Thank you so much for the thrill ride and many congratulations to you all!

Boys - as an alum who used to call the games on the radio from 2000-2004, I can't tell you how fired up I am about the title. When watching the game last night with some other friends from school, I said with a minute left that you had scored 3 in 44 seconds in the HE tournament so this thing was far from over. To Coach Parker and the 2009 Beanpot, Hockey East and NATIONAL Champion Terriers, Thank you all for the most amazing season that I've seen in 19 years of following BU Hockey. As a former member of the Pep Band and a season-ticket holder since graduation I've had a front row seat for some of the most memorable BU Hockey Events of the last 20 years. Last night's heart-stopping, exhilarating victory makes the triple-overtime heartbreaker against Northern Michigan in 1991, handing Maine their only loss of the 1992-93 season and the 1995 National Championship in Providence Civic Center pale in comparison. Your commitment to the team and to each other are examples to be held up for others. Thank you for never giving up, thank you for ALWAYS playing hard and thank you for bringing a championship back to BU. I've been bringing my 6-year son to BU Hockey games since he was an infant and to be with him at Agganis Arena, skating on the ice and watching the championship game on the big screen is a memory that I will treasure forever. I'm already counting the days to the first home game of the 2009-10 season and can't wait to be on hand to watch the banners raised to the Agganis Arena rafters. Been a season ticket holder for 20 years. I'll remember this year as the year my 8-year-old son really became a fan. He collected the pucks after warmups three times this season, came with me to the early-season win at UMass.-Lowell, to a January win at Merrimack, and to Manchester for the Ohio State game, in addition to numerous Agganis games. We had a blast all winter, and prior to the title game last Saturday, I said to my sister-in-law, "At this point, I want them to win the game for themselves. They gave me a great winter, and they can't play any more games after tonight." Thank you for so many memories. I've seen many, many great games, players, and teams at BU. Can't imagine how you guys feel to know that the 08-09 team joins the legendary teams at BU. Thank you!

To Jack Parker & BU Hockey Team - Congratulations on a great win for the National Championship. I have been a BU Hockey fan since I started attending BU in 1951. The team was absolutely fantastic in scoring two goals in less than one minute - great insight by Coach Parker in pulling the goalie with 4 minutes left in the game - it gave them a chance and they took advantage of it. To: Coach Parker & all BU Players(Heroes) As a 1968 BU grad I coordinated Frozen Four attendance with Easter visit to my sister's in VA. Vermont victory was nerve racking and I was hoping for something like 6-2 on Sat. night. Although it looked bleak with a 2 goal deficit and a minute to play, I never gave up hope. After the 2nd BU goal, I guaranteed an overtime to the fans who were cheering the underdog Redhawks on. You didn't disappoint and made yourselves & all BU fans proud. I'm a BU alum (Class of '93). I'm glad I was able to get a ticket to D.C. to cheer you guys on and witness your stunning win. You're all amazing. Congratulations!!! I couldn't sleep that whole night. I think my heart rate reached 200 during the game. When I was a BU student, we made it to the championship game twice (91 and 92) so it was nice to be part of that electrifying school spirit again.

My first year as a student was 1962(Jack Kelley`s first as a coach) and I saw all of the National Championship Games but for pure exciting comebacks I thought the 1977 Comeback against Clarkson in the ECAC Championship game was the best BU win. But what these boys and their superb coaching staff did this past Saturday in DC defies superlatives. Being there was the best but I can`t wait to wear out the DVD to see how it actually happened because I still can`t believe it. At the Hobey Baker Award`s Ceremony I was looking for the the individuals of the freshman line Victor Saponari, Chris Connelly, and Corey Trivino. Without their contributions down the final stretch of the season this team couldn`t have arrived as National Champs. They just got better and better as the season concluded and I`m looking forward to their play next season. Tuesday afternoon, I received a phone call from a family friend who's going to tour the University with her daughter on Friday. "Are you busy?" she asked. "No, actually, I'm walking home from the huge parade BU put on to celebrate our hockey team winning the national championship!" She got a huge kick out of that. I have been going to BU hockey games since I was a freshman in 1982. The decade of the dog was great (the 90's with the Triple Crown in 1995) but this year and this title, was the most sweet.
