Matt Tansil

Matt Tansil was named interim coach for the 2025 men's tennis season in February 2025. He comes from Brandeis University, where he was the assistant coach to the men’s tennis program for the 2023-24 season. In his time at Brandeis the men’s program reached a #8 regional and a #21 Division I|I national team ranking.

Tansil is the owner of and founder of Tansil Enterprises, providing player development for tennis players of all ages through a combination of instruction and fitness training. In 2019, he served the personal hitting partner for his good friend Donald Young, who rose as high as #38 in the ATP World Rankings during his career. Tansil is also a certified Master PTR Performance Tennis professional.

Tansil is 2013 graduate of Division I Oral Roberts University, serving as a team captain as a senior when he helped the Golden Eagles to a Summit League title and a berth in the NCAA Tournament.

As junior player prior to college, Tansil was ranked among the top 15 in the USTA Midwest section and among the top 10 nationally. He earned the USTA’s Midwest Section Sportsman of the Year award in 2007 and was a two-time All-State and four-time All-Conference and All-Area selection in Michigan.
