Megan Quinn joined the Boston University women's hockey staff as an assistant coach on June 26, 2025. Quinn oversees BU’s defensive unit.
In her first year with the Terriers, Quinn helped BU to an 11-21-3, 8-14-2 HE record. Seven of the defenders she oversaw made marks on the scoresheet with Maeve Kelly recording nine points of her own. Kelly went on to be selected in the 2026 PWHL Draft as the fifth-ever Terrier and second-ever defender to be drafted.
Quinn came to BU from Syracuse, where she served as an assistant coach for the past three seasons. She oversaw the Orange defense in her role and ran individual on-ice skill sessions. Quinn also coordinated community service, Team IMPACT involvement and managed alumni communication and engagement.
Prior to working with the Orange, Quinn was an assistant coach at SUNY Oswego in the 2021-22 season. She helped coach the Lakers to a 16-8-1 record that season. Off the ice, she served on the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee and the Sporting Behaviors Committee. Quinn had a coaching stint at SUNY Cortland from 2019-2021, helping the Red Dragons to 14 wins in her first season there.
As an athlete, Quinn played in the NWHL for the Toronto Six from 2019-20. She also played on the Toronto Furies in the CWHL in the 2018-19 season.
Quinn graduated from Syracuse in 2018, playing in 140 games for the Orange. She tallied 43 points on 14 14 goals and 29 assists during her tenure and garnered CHA Second-Team Honors in the 2015-16 season. She was also a two-time CHA All-Tournament Team selection (2016-17, 2017-18).
Quinn earned a bachelor of sciences in psychology and forensic science from Syracuse in 2018 before earning a Master of Science in community health from SUNY Cortland in 2024.
