Russell Cone, a 1989 graduate of Princeton University, joined Boston University Crew in 1990. Russ is instrumental in maintenance of equipment and sanity within the boathouse.
Russ rowed competitively at Princeton and represented the United States at the World Championships in 1989 in the heavy 4x. In addition to his duties with BU, Russ is a partner at Stillwater Design, a popular manufacturer of wakeless launches and other specialized watercraft. If its wakeless, its probably a StillWater.
Russ is still an active competitor. In 2014, he finished second at the Head of the Charles in the men's senior master single.
