A member of the Boston University Department of Athletics since 2012, Brittany Kane was promoted to senior associate athletic director in 2019.

Kane serves as the chief of staff to director of athletics Drew Marrochello while directly overseeing all internal and external operations of the department, including business & financial operations, capital projects & facilities operations, human resources and marketing & communications. Her current responsibilities involve managing the athletic director's office and schedule while serving as a liaison with other department heads and various campus partners, including Agganis Arena, development & alumni relations, general counsel and government & community affairs. 

Kane's most recent promotion came just one year after being elevated to director of administrative operations & executive assistant to the director of athletics in February 2018. She had been the executive assistant to the director of athletics since May 2016 after spending the previous two years as the department's assistant business manager.

In her previous role, Kane handled all functions related to team travel, managed department cell phones, shared ticket manager responsibilities and worked on the business office financial system.

She originally joined the Terriers as an administrative secretary in June 2012. For two years, she provided support for women's ice hockey, the business office and athletic training.

The Scarborough, Maine, native graduated from Endicott College in 2011 with a sports management degree while competing on the women's lacrosse team. She later earned her MBA from Boston University in 2017.
