This summer, GoTerriers.com will once again count down the top 12 achievements of Boston University teams and student-athletes from the previous year. Check back each Tuesday and Friday as we reveal this year's Terrier Twelve.

Coming in at No. 11 in this year's Terrier Twelve is the men's ice hockey team, as head coach David Quinn led the Terriers back to the NCAA tournament and secured a bright future by bringing in one of the top recruiting classes in the history of college hockey.
The Terriers, who posted 21 victories, played arguably the toughest schedule in the country with 21 of their 39 games coming against teams that made the NCAA tournament. Thanks to big non-conference wins over Denver, Michigan, Quinnipiac and Harvard, BU finished tied for eighth in the final PairWise to secure an at-large bid to the NCAAs.
The team also remained undefeated at Red Hot Hockey, posting a shootout victory over Cornell in front of another sold-out crowd at Madison Square Garden on Thanksgiving weekend.
Seniors Matt Grzelcyk and Danny O'Regan were named All-Americans after receiving Hockey East First Team honors and freshmen Jakob Forsbacka Karlsson and Charlie McAvoy earned spots on the Hockey East All-Rookie Team. O'Regan led the squad in both goals (17) and assists (27) and finished his career with 154 points (66g, 88a), which was the most by any Terrier since Chris Drury '98.
The future is bright for the Terriers as head coach David Quinn and his staff have put together one of the best recruiting classes ever. At the 2016 NHL Entry Draft in June, BU broke a record by having four players taken in the first 19 picks of the opening round. That quartet included three incoming freshmen (Clayton Keller, Dante Fabbro, Kieffer Bellows) along with McAvoy, who was chosed 14th overall by the Boston Bruins.
