Dear Coach,
Greetings from Boston University and the Women's Basketball Staff. I am Margaret McKeon, the new Head Women's Basketball Coach. I was the Associate Head Coach at George Washington University before moving to Boston University in May. I am excited to be here and look forward to starting a new season of basketball at Boston University.
I would also like to introduce my new staff. Gabrielle Butler is a former assistant basketball coach at George Washington University from 1991-1998. Jerry McLaughlin is a former head coach at the University of Alaska Anchorage from 1994-1997. Cindy Blodgett is a former standout player at the University of Maine and played for the Sacramento Monarchs in the WNBA in 1999.
This fall, we are holding the first annual Fundamental Basketball Clinic at Boston University. The clinic will stress fundamental basketball drills that will be helpful for you to use in your program and will allow you to have a fun day in exchanging basketball ideas.
The clinic will be held on Saturday, October 30, 1999 from 9AM to 4PM at the Case Center on the BU Campus (285 Babcock Street). The cost of the clinic is $25.00 if pre-registered by October 28, 1999 and $30.00 at the door. You may pre-register by filling out the enclosed form and returning it with your fee to our basketball office. There will be a post-clinic social from 4PM-6PM at Boston University Case Center.
The Holiday Inn-Brookline is offering a special rate of $99.00 per night on October 29 and 30, 1999. To make reservations, please contact David D'Arcy at the hotel by October 28, 1999 at 617-277-1200 ext. 107.

Overview of Clinic. Question and answer period. Introduction of coaching staff. 10:00-11:00AM Garnett Vamos, B.U. Strength & Conditioning Coach. Footwork and conditioning drills for student-athletes. 11:00-11:30AM Sally Ward, B.U. Coordinator of Educational Services (in Eilberg Lounge). 11:30AM-12:30PM Lunch provided in Eilberg Lounge. 12:30-3:30PM On the basketball floor clinic and demonstration of drills. B.U. Women's Basketball Coaching staff and 1999-2000 team. 3:30-4:00PM Averill Haines, Assistant Director of Athletics, and NCAA Compliance Officer. 4:00-6:00PM Post clinic social in Eilberg Lounge.
