Women's Basketball OPENING DAY!! This Saturday, November 20th 1:00 p.m. FREE T-SHIRTS!! BU Faculty and Staff and all High School Students Get in Free!!
Plenty of festivities are planned for opening day including:
- Free T-shirts
- Free picture with Rhett, Boston's best mascot
A postgame autograph session with the entire team and coaching staff, including new BU assistant coach and WNBA star, Cindy Blodgett. The women's basketball kicks off their year and welcomes in a new era in women's basketball this Saturday, November 20th at 1:00PM as the Terriers take on Colgate. New Head Coach, Margaret McKeon, leads a young and promising team featuring junior Ali Dixon of Norwood (17.31 ppg &6.2 rpg) and last year's freshman sensation, Dia Dufault.
To celebrate this new era in women's basketball at BU, tickets for all BU faculty and staff and all Massachusetts high school student will be FREE of charge. BU faculty and staff looking to take advantage of the offer can call Ron D'Innocenzo at 617.353.2874 or e-mail him at ronadv@bu.edu to make a reservation. High School student can either call Ron for a reservation or just show your high school ID at the door.
DOG POUND MEMBERS: Make a sign that cheers on the women's basketball team and you could receive two free tickets to either the soldout Barenaked Ladies or Rage Against The Machine concerts. The best two signs that he Sports Marketing staff see, will get the tickets. BE CREATIVE!!
The Terriers play their games at the Case Center (The Roof) on 285 Babcock Street. The Case Center is easily accessible by the MBTA Greenline B Train (Babcock Street stop) or by car, with plenty of free parking available. Just call 353.2874 for additional directions.
