Terriers Bow To UNH In First Road Meet

The Terrier women's swimming and diving team dropped a 193-107 decision to the University of New Hampshire on Saturday, Nov. 4, in the Terriers' first road meet of the season.
Freshman diver Stacey Gallacher (Horsehenhos, NY) was the lone Terrier to win two events, as she captured both the one- and three-meter dives with 274.27 and 282.00 points, respectively.
Sophomore Karissa Lopez (Santa Fe, NM) and senior Amelia Finnerty also won individual events.
Lopez won the 200-yard butterfly in 2:08.18, and she finished second in the 200-yard individual medley in 2:13.18. In the meantime, Finnerty was first in the 100 butterfly in :59.18.
Four Terriers took second in their events, headed by senior Kerry Kusz (Iron Mountain, MI). She was second in both the 50- (:25.41) and 100-yard (:55.97 freestyle.
Sophomore Margaret O'Neill (Chattanooga, TN) was second in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:02.3. Sophomore Laurie Green (St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada) was runnerup in the 100-yard breaststroke in :33.12. Finally, Kelli Sweeting (Sarasota, FL) was second in the 200-yard backstroke in 2:10.57.
