Women Swimmers Fall To UMass In Home Meet

The Terrier women's swimming and diving team dropped its second home meet of the season to UMass on Saturday, Nov. 11, 165-132, despite the outstanding individual performance of sophomore Karissa Lopez (Sante Fe. NM).
Lopez came away victorious in three different events.
She began her winning streak in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:58.02, and continued with winning times of :59.18 and 2:12.16 in the 100-yard butterfly and 200-yard individual medley, respectively.
Freshman Stacey Gallacher (Horsehenhos, NY), was a double winners as she took both the one- and three-meter dives with point totals of 263.70 and 266.77.
Senior Amelia Finnerty (New Fairfield, CT) won the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:10.62 and was second in the 100-meter fly with a :59.89.
