Men's Swimming Glides Past Rhode Island, 167-111

The Boston University men's swimming team defeated the University of Rhode Island on Saturday (February 5th), 167-111, for a solid Terrier victory.
Several outstanding individual performances led the way to the Terrier win. Sophomore Jeff Graves (Rockwell, TX) turned in first place finishes in each of his events including the 100 fly (52.22) and the 200 fly (1:55.50), a race in which he is undefeated this season. Graves also swam on the winning 200 medley and 400 freestyle relay teams.
Senior James Kevins (Mt. Sinai, NY) took first in the 100 backstroke (55.31) and in the 200 backstroke (1:59.27). Along with Jeff Graves (Rockwell, TX), Jason Walkow (Erie, PA), and Rich Cormier (Manchester, CT), Kevins took first in the 200 medley relay (1:39.08). He also finished second in the 200 individual medley (2:04.92).
Junior diver Greg Voloshin (Warwick, NY) took first in both the one and three meter dives. Voloshin is undefeated in the three meter dive this season.
The win takes the Terriers to a 4-3 overall record for the season. Boston University will compete in the America East Championships at the University of Delaware February 18-20.
