Women's Swimming Places Third At ECAC Championships

The women's swimming team turned in an outstanding performance at the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship meet. The Terriers finished third out of 45 teams in the competition.
Senior captain Abigail Clark (Baltimore, MD) set a Boston University record in the 100 breast stroke and qualified for Olympic trials and NCAA Nationals with a time of 1:03.79. Clark scored 51 of the Terriers' 365 points, adding a third place finish in the 50 freestyle, a fourth place finish in the 100 freestyle and swimming on several relay teams.
Senior Cindy Hoffman (Cornwall, NY) took first in the three meter dive and third in the one meter dive.
Boston University dominated in relays, taking first in the 200 medley, second in the 200 freestyle (1:38.62) and the 400 medley (3:57.30), and third in the 400 freestyle (3:34.50).
The Terriers finished the season with 5-3 record and a second place finish at the America East Championships.
