Terriers' Wolff Signs New Seven-Year Contract

Wolff, the all-time winningest coach in B. U. men's basketball history, has a 129-107 record in his eight years at B. U. He has led the Terriers to America East Conference championships and NCAA Tournament trips in both 1997 and 2002.
"Boston University is fortunate to have a number of excellent coaches who have chosen to devote a major portion of their careers to this institution," said Boston University Director of Athletics Gary Strickler. "I am very pleased that Dennis Wolff is one of these. He is not only a winner, but also the kind of individual who represents all of the qualities we value in athletics."
"My family and I are very appreciative of the commitment that B. U. has made to us over the eight years that I've been the coach here," said Wolff. "The renewing of my contract really lends credibility to what we've been able to do as a program. It's very good for me because I'm in a working environment with Gary Strickler, [Executive Director of Athletics] Jack Parker, and the administrators that I couldn't imagine being as good for me as anywhere else."
"The program is in pretty good shape right now," continued Wolff. "we were fortunate to have had the season that we had last year, and returning the kids we have I think we can continue to be competitive."
Last season the Terriers finished 22-10 and claimed a share of the conference's regular season title. The team defeated Maine, 66-40, in the championship game to win its fifth conference championship. Next season, the Terriers return All-Conference First Team selection Billy Collins, and Chaz Carr, a Second Team pick, among eight regulars.
