Czaplinski Leaves Men's Basketball Team, Citing Personal Reasons

BOSTON - Sophomore Matt Czaplinski (Stratford, Conn.) has left the Boston University men's basketball team, citing personal reasons, it was announced today. The 6-foot-10 center saw action in four of the Terriers' first five games this season.
Czaplinski did not score this season and averaged 2.3 rebounds, seeing an average of six minutes per contest coming off the bench for the Terriers.
A junior academically, Czaplinski redshirted his freshman season in 2001-02. As a redshirt freshman last year, he averaged 1.3 points and 1.5 rebounds in 20 games. He had a career-high four blocked shots in a victory over the University of Vermont on Jan. 11, 2003.
After Monday's 86-42 win over Harvard University, the Terriers (3-3) enjoy a 13-day break for final exams, then host Cleveland State University on Monday, Dec. 22. Game time at Case Gym is 7 p.m.
