The Terrier men's heavyweight crew, ranked 19th in the nation in the most recent poll, journeyed to Dartmouth on Saturday (April 19th) where it lost to the ninth-ranked Big Green and the 15th-ranked Scarlet Knights of Rutgers.
Dartmouth, which got off to an aggressive start by rowing at 49 strokes a minute, covered the 2000-meter course on the Connecticut River in 5:35.2. Rutgers was just under two lengths behind in 5:40.9, while the Terriers were just over a length back of the Scarlet Knights in 5:44.3.

Rutgers was second in 5:50.0, while Dartmouth was third in 5:52.9.
In the second varsity race, the finish was identical as the first varsity event. Dartmouth was first in 5:52.2, followed by Rutgers in 5:59.5 and B.U. in 6:01.9.
