BOSTON - Boston University men's basketball head coach Dennis Wolff has relieved Director of Basketball Operations Chris McLaughlin of all duties associated with the B.U. men's basketball program, it was announced on Monday, Nov. 22.
DENNIS WOLFF STATEMENT "After spending the last 48 hours reviewing the facts related to the incident that took place on Saturday morning, I have notified Chris McLaughlin that he is permanently relieved of all duties with the B.U. men's basketball team effectively immediately.
"I was unaware of this incident until after the end of our game with Holy Cross on Saturday afternoon. It was then, after the game, that Chris informed me of what had happened. Had I known of the incident prior to the game, he would not have been on the bench for the game.
"We expect the members of our coaching staff to serve as positive role models and adhere to a high standard of conduct."
