
Crerar, Lawler Named America East Divers of the Week

BU swept a pair of weekly awards Tuesday, as freshmen Alex Crerar (Regina, Saskatchewan) and Brian Lawler (San Luis Obispo, Calif.) were named the women???s and men???s America East Diver of the Week, respectively, for their performances against Stony Brook. Crerar earned the honor for the first time in her young career, while Lawler won the award for the third time this season. He also was named America East Diver of the Week on Nov. 8 and again on Nov. 15. The Terrier women defeated the Sea Wolves 126-115, while the BU men lost 134-109 last Saturday.
Crerar won both the one-meter and the three-meter diving events. She scored over 280 points in each of the events and beat her nearest competitor by 45 points in each event. She set a personal-best in the one-meter dive with 289.13 points.
Lawler dominated in the three-meter dive, winning the event with 311.20 points, almost 85 points better than his nearest competitor. He also crushed the competition in the one-meter dive, with a score of 290.03, almost 90 points better than his closest foe.
The Terriers return to the pool this weekend for their final meet of the first semester, against Maine. Competition begins at 1 p.m. at the FitRec Center.
