Terriers Open Spring Season Against Syracuse

BOSTON - The Boston University women's varsity eight was edged by Syracuse University at the Kittell Cup on Saturday, March 26. Finishing less than a second behind the Orange, the Terriers finished in 6:35.92, just behind the Orange, who finished in 6:35.02. The last 500 meters of the varsity eight race went back and forth before Syracuse pulled ahead to claim the victory. B.U.'s varsity four was also defeated by Syracuse with a time of 7:44.22 and Orange's novice eight finished six seconds ahead of the Terriers to take first place at 7:05.15.
B.U.'s second varsity eight finished two seconds ahead of Syracuse University to secure first-place. The Terriers' novice four also captured a win with a time of 8:17.9, while the Orange followed in second in 8:28.3. B.U. returns to action at the Playfair Cup against George Washington, Navy and Georgetown in Washington D.C. on Saturday, April 2.
