Terrier Women's Crew Wins Playfair Cup

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Boston University won a trio of races at the Playfair Cup, including a 14-second victory over Navy in the varsity race, contested Saturday, April 2 on the Severn River in Annapolis, Md.
The Terriers, ranked 20th in the latest national poll, won the varsity race by posting a time of 7:31.95 over the 2,000-meter course. Navy placed second in the race with a time of 7:45.38, with George Washington third at 7:47.00 and Georgetown fourth with a clocking of 7:50.16.
B.U. also won the second varsity race by six seconds over Navy and the varsity four race by 22 seconds over the Mids.
Navy's lone victory on the day came in the first freshman race as the Mids crossed the finish line in a time of 8:41.34, four seconds ahead of second-place Boston University.
