Northeastern Takes 28th Rowing Of Arlett Cup

BOSTON - Northeastern University won the 28th rowing of the Arlett Cup over Boston University over the 2000-meter course of the Charles River. It was the Huskies' fifth consecutive victory in the competition.
NU finished the course in a record 5:43.7, breaking the previous mark of 5:47.7 also set by NU in 1996. B.U. checked in at 5:45.7.
The Huskies began the race with a two seat lead off the start. NU extended its margin to six seats by the 500-meter mark. By 1000-meters, NU had a length on the Terriers, but at 1500 meters, the Terriers closed to three seats. The Huskies were able to hold them off over the final 500 to win by a half length.
