Terriers Remain in Fourth After Day Two of BU Invitational

BOSTON - Highlighted by Jeff Wurm's victory in the 100 back, the Boston University men's swimming and diving team remained in fourth place after the second day of competition in the BU Invitational on Saturday evening.
Wurm earned the victory with a time of 51.84 seconds. Arik Seiler had a strong finish in the 200 free with a second-place time of 1:42.16. Also earning second-place honors was Eric Carlson in the 100 breaststroke (59.39). Matt Rickett placed fourth in the 100 fly (51.17), while Kyle Ernst finished sixth in the 400 IM (4:10.52) and Peter Lo placed fifth in the 100 breaststroke (1:00.48).
Andre Watson had a record-breaking weekend on both the one- and three-meter boards, as he posted a school- and pool-record on the one-meter with a score of 355.5 points in six dives and 688.8 points in 12 dives. On the 3 meter he broke the pool and school record with a score of 611 in 12 dives.
The final day of competition will commence at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday morning.
