Men's Swimming Finishes Third at Terrier Invitational

BOSTON - After the final day of competition, the Boston University men's swimming and diving team finished third out of five teams at the Terrier Invitational. Jeff Wurm provided the Terriers with a victory in the 200 back, while four different swimmers placed in the top ten in the 200 breaststroke. Tyson Slesnick earned two top ten finishes to cap off an impressive weekend.
Wurm claimed victory in the 200 back with a winning time of one minute, 53.28 seconds. Slesnick earned his first top ten finish with the demanding 1650 free (4th; 16:11.87) and then came back to place ninth in the 200 fly.
Rickett opened his final day of competition with a fifth-place finish in the 100 free (47.73), while Ben Kaiser placed sixth in the 1650 free (16:16.37). Bryon Kallert picked up a fifth-place finish in the 200 back (1:55.03) and Matt Rickett earned fifth place in the 100 free (47.73).
In the dominating 200 breaststroke, Kyle Ernst touched the wall in 2:10.50 to earn second place, followed by Eric Carlson in third (2:10.69), Peter Lo in fourth (2:12.36) and Everett in ninth (2:17.10).
Mark Nakanishi finished things off with a third-place finish in the 200 fly (1:55.10).
BU will return to action on Saturday, Dec. 1 when it welcomes America East foe Stony Brook at 2:00 p.m.
