
Women's Crew Competes in Class of 1985 Cup

BOSTON - Boston University women's crew hosted Yale, Minnesota, and Dartmouth in the Class of 1985 Cup Saturday morning on the Charles River. Yale is ranked No. 4 in the country, Minnesota is No. 11 and both Dartmouth and BU are receiving votes in this week's USRowing poll.
BU came in third in two races Saturday afternoon, with the Varsity B 4+ winning its race by a wide margin against Yale. The Terriers completed the course in 8:20.79 followed by Yale in 8:40.29.
The Terriers came in third in the varsity four (8:12.72) and the novice eight (7:49.39). BU was fourth in the varsity eight (7:15.03) and the second varsity eight (7:27.41).
"The varsity was faster this weekend than they were last weekend," noted head coach Holly Hatton. "But we need to improve and we're going to continue working."

1st Varsity Eight: Yale 6:52.35; Minnesota 6:57.36; Dartmouth 6:59.78; BU 7:15.03
2nd Varsity Eight: Minnesota 7:01.77; Yale 7:06.13; Dartmouth 7:14.72; BU 7:27.41
Varsity Four: Minnesota 7:58.76; Yale 8:04.28; BU 8:12.72; Dartmouth 8:25.62
Varsity B Four +: BU 8:20.79; Yale 8:40.29
Novice Eight: Yale 7:18.03; Dartmouth 7:29.22; BU 7:49.39
