
Men's Crew's Daly Makes US National Team

BOSTON - Alumnus Will Daly (BU '06) earned a spot on the US National Team in the lightweight eight on Monday, August 6. His boat is one of 26 crews representing the US at the 2007 FISA World Rowing Championships held from August 26 to Sept. 2 in Munich, Germany.
Daly's boat recorded a time of 5:40.70 in the trials, besting the standard of 5:42. He will stroke the eight and is joined in the boat by cox Leigh Heymann, John Nichols, Andrew Diebold, Jeff Forester, Greg Ruckman, Tyler Resch, Gavin Frase, and bowman Tim Larson.
The crews at the time trials waited out a one-hour delay to let the light winds accumulate direction and velocity before racing head-style in a light crosswind.
