Men's Crew Competes at the Princeton Chase

PRINCETON, N.J. - Highlighted by two boats placing in the top 10 in the heavyweight eight and coxed fours races, Boston University men's crew had a successful outing at the Princeton Chase on Sunday afternoon. BU's "A" coxed four took second in its race, and the other "A" squad placed eighth in the heavyweight eight event.
The Terriers were narrowly beaten out for the top spot in the coxed fours race by 1.3 seconds. Yale's "A" boat finished first in 15:01.753 to BU's "A" time of 15:03.053. The Terriers also had three other coxed fours racing in the event with the "B" boat finishing 17th (16:01.087), the "C" boat taking 28th (16:19.437), and the "D" boat placing 35th (16:45.587) out of 47 competitors.
In the heavyweight eights, Yale's "A" boat won the race at 13:17.595. The Terriers' "A" boat took eighth at 13:41.109. The "B" boat placed 24th (14:10.303), and the "C" boat finished 36th (15:08.957).
The men will next compete on Saturday, Nov. 8 when they visit Hanover, N.H. for the Green Monster Head.
