BOSTON -
Junior Arik Seiler has earned America East Swimmer of the Week accolades, while seniors Andre Watson and Tess Waresmith three-peat as male and female Divers of the Week.
Seiler swam for first-place finishes in three separate events, as Boston University defeated Binghamton, 132-111, on Saturday afternoon. Seiler took top honors in the 100 free (47.45), the 200 free (1:42.78) and was the fourth leg of the winning 400-free relay. The Portland, Maine native has kicked off a dominant season in the pool, having already set a personal best in the 200 IM last weekend with a time of 1:55.36.
Watson swept both the one- and three-meter diving events (315.10 and 316.13, respectively). After three meets and a total of six diving events, he has averaged a score of 323.48.
Waresmith continued her dominance on the 1M and 3M boards, sweeping both events this weekend as the Terriers defeated Binghamton, 187-56, and Vermont, 148-95, in their first conference match-ups. Waresmith has not lost in dual-meet action over the past two seasons.
The Terriers return to the pool on Saturday, Nov. 1 when they host Syracuse at 1 p.m.
