CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - After winning the Central Connecticut State Mini Meet on Saturday, junior captain Sarah Mosser of the Boston University women's cross country team has been named the America East Performer of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday. The East Aurora, N.Y., native helped the Terriers finish first out of the 14 teams at the meet with her first individual cross country win of her career.
Mosser traversed the two-mile course in New Britain, Conn., in 11:09 to lead a 117-runner field. She was also named the ECAC Division I Athlete of the Week in women's cross country.
A BU runner has won every race that the Terriers have competed in this season and taken home Performer of the Week honors after each of the four races. Junior Erin Lagasse won the Dartmouth Invitational on Sept. 13 and senior Andrea Walkonen captured the Ted Owen Invitational and the New England Championship.
Mosser and the Terriers are back in action on Saturday (Nov. 1), competing for the America East Championship in Baltimore.
