
Terriers Wrap Up Road Stretch with Central Michigan on Sunday

Columbus, Ohio - The Boston University women’s basketball team (3-3) will look to rebound on Sunday when it takes on Central Michigan (3-2) on the second day of the Buckeye Classic at 11:30 a.m. Both squads, who dropped their respective first-round games, will be meeting for the first time in program history.

BU dropped its opening-round game to 20th-ranked Ohio State, 72-47, backed by four double-digit scoring performances from the Buckeyes. For the Terriers, senior Kristi Dini led with 17 points on 6-for-15 shooting, while classmate Amarachi Umez-Eronini earned season highs for assists (4) and steals (4). BU forced 22 turnovers and scored 19 points off those miscues.
Central Michigan is fresh off a 78-76 heartbreaking loss to Dayton after leading by as many as 12 points in the game. Junior Britni Houghton led four Chippewas in double-figures with 21, but Dayton clamped down on defense and held CMU without a field goal for the final three minutes of the contest.
Following this weekend’s tournament the Terriers will return to Case Gym, where it has gone undefeated in 14 straight games, to host Ivy League foe Brown at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 3.
